key terms

aperture - a fixed or adjustable opening in a piece of equipment such as
a camera or microscope that lets light pass through a lens or mirror

back drop - a setting or context

biscotti - a hard oblong cookie, often containing nuts and usually
flavored with anise

carbonera - a hot pasta dish prepared with eggs, chopped ham or bacon,
and cheese

food photography - photographing food

hrutka - traditional ball of egg and milk cooked together to almost a
cheese like substance

lighting - the overall effect produced by the lights

paska - sweet bread...usually made on easter

pizzelle - a traditional italian waffle cookie

shutter speed - the time for which the shutter is held open during the
taking of a photograph to allow light to reach the film or image sensor
